Do I need to be a professional to create and submit a video?

No, the competition is open to all individuals aged 12 to 25 living in Switzerland. You simply need to use your basic skills to film, edit, and present your short film as well as possible.

Is there a fee to participate in the competition?

No, there is no fee to participate in the Swiss short film competition Love in Action.

What prizes are offered to the winners?

The winners of each age category receive CHF 1,000. The second‑place winners receive CHF 500. The winning films and all nominated films will be published on the website www.loveaction.ch under “BEST OF 2026”. The nominated films, their filmmakers, and their topics will be presented to the media and on social media during and after the award ceremony.

What are the criteria for film selection?

The selection criteria focus on the film’s ability to convey “Love in Action”, meaning to illustrate compassion through impactful actions by individuals or groups. The evaluation is based on emotional impact, storytelling, and clarity of the “Love in Action” message.

What is the deadline for submitting a film?

All films must be submitted by 14 August 2026.
