Liebesbrief an meine Kindheit

This film is a gentle love letter to my younger self, my childhood, and the people who made it magical. Love shines through every shot – in the small moments, the adventures, and the feelings from the past. The little person I used to be still lives inside me, and sometimes I should listen to her more. Mischeli knows what's truly important in life: creativity, curiosity, and love. When the world gets too much, I think about the little princess I once was and what would help her – and usually, that's exactly what helps me the most too. «Liebesbrief an meine Kindheit» doesn't just talk about love; the film itself is Love in Action. It's like a hug for myself and the child I used to be. After years of struggling with self-doubt and everything that comes with it, working on this film has been a really healing experience for me. The mean things I sometimes say to myself? Little Michelle doesn't deserve them. She deserves someone to listen to her, play with her, and comfort her when she's sad. With this film, I want to inspire other people to treat themselves with more love and to listen to the child within them. When we take our own needs seriously and take care of ourselves, we can help others better too. And besides: We all deserve to be happy.
